a little encouragement

everyone needs a little encouragement every now and then.
this is for someone who is struggling right now.
i planned on sending a card anyway, but when i was doing my bible
study yesterday, it was if God was telling me to serve others with my
gifts, talents and love. therefore, this little card was born! :D
love it when i have moments with Him like that!!!
although, i see a reoccurring theme of teal and orange in my paper
creations...*mental note*--use different colors next time ;D

my lilacs are blooming!!!! the dogwood is out in full bloom!!! Spring is here with a little blast of summer this week...temps in the 80's and 90's...can i get a "WOOT, WOOT!"?
couldn't get very close to the lilacs cuz those mean carpenter bees were hanging out...they will chase you, ya know! :O) big, mean, fuzzy critters! plus, it was the middle of the day when the light was really harsh and not looking so good. re-attempt tonight after supper! :D

my digi stuff is no different from my paper and glue.
i start. i place. i play.
no plan.
i usually start on a whim.
a photo.
new elements.

i decided to ditch the 3 column LO and opt for one that will showcase my images better...
and WOWZERS!!!!
change to this, hook up with photobucket or any other free image hosting site and yep, this does
it for me!!!
awesome weekend ahead...SUUUUUUUNNNNN! :D , in the 7o's!!!
which means i am going to get out, take pictures or scrap or maybe do ALL of them by weekend's end!!!

i love these...

i mean i REALLY love these flowers.

Lilacs.

Lilacs and hydrangeas are my all time favorites.

both showy flowers.

but lilacs win b/c they fill the air, inside and out of my house,

with such a sweet smell when they are in bloom.

at first, i have such a hard time cutting them b/c

i love looking @ them on the bush.

right now, the rain...did i mention that it has been raining here???
the rain makes it seem like Spring will never come.
but i know it is the rain that nourishes the ground and will make these lilacs, and every other living thing, as beautiful as always--just as He intended even through my grumblings ;)

so, today:

* i ran outside

*snapped a few pics of my budding lovelies

* labored over yet another digi page

* will anxiously await their bloom!
*keep cheering for Spring to come!

the dog is asleep @ my feet...
it is raining...ahh, Spring in WV...
the computer or internet is uncharacteristically slow...
yet, i persevered to find a creative outlet!!!
digi wins once again!!

i cleaned,well more like straightened and made sense, of my scrap area.
it is amazing that you can abandon an area, yet it can look as if a bomb went off!!!
maybe inspiration will strike cuz it was like happening upon a gold mine of supplies, i tell ya!

ok, now off to eat some breakfast and be in God's Word...
i think it is a great day already =D

*oh yeah, and i am thinking about ditching the whole 3 column notion and going back to
a simpler 2 column design that is more restful to my eyes...thoughts???

this LO is very evocative...
therefore, i really struggled with what to journal here.
i decided that i would share the digi compilation of this,
print it, and journal on it for my own personal catharsis.
*edited* for bad spelling....i HATE improper spelling.
"catharsis" formerly "cartharsis"...wth??!!

but i do have to say that sometimes DIGI LOs absolutely ROCK
for me b/c i can get it all down, and feel like i have scrapped when
scrapbooking has taken a major backseat in life lately.
