paper and glue...PLEASE!

while i have LOVED the convenience of digital scrapbooking, i am now CRAVING the paper and glue kind!!!
i have decided that i am determined to set up shop somewhere in my house!!!
it doesn't matter if i am in the basement with no carpet or walls!!!
i think i miss the process and the texture and the actual seeing and feeling of the page in my hands
while i am working on it and after it is completed.
so, while digital is for me sometimes...it is time to break out the paper {even if i am no longer in
step with the latest and greatest}, the adhesive, the paper cutter, and embellishments.
and of course, no page is complete without a little bit of stapling or sewing!
now, the question is...do i have lighting and outlets?! hmmm....

i might even decide to jump on board and tackle Ali Edwards' idea of the December Daily album!!

this is only a test....

picture of carrot cake loaded directly into blogger from computer:

same picture of carrot cake uploaded via Flickr:

carrot cake

same quality? different? better? i was just curious b/c sometimes weird cyber things happen with pics depending on how/where they are uploaded.
discuss...

my opinion? can't really tell...but to me, the direct upload looks a tiny bit better...

beautiful fall

oh, another digi LO...
i couldn't help myself, really...
i went to have some of my LOs printed and stumbled upon
some digi kits by Wilna Furstenberg over @ 2Peas
nothing short of LOVING this current LO which is now my
desktop screensaver! :D {the color and quality on blogger really doesn't do this justice! just sayin...}

*all elements, papers are from this kit, with exception of the frames and stitching.

and of course, i made this one after i already had the others printed out!
looks like i will need to make some more to create another print order!!! :)

*in case you were wondering, i get my LOs printed @ scrapbookpictures.com

perfectly imperfect

i love her smile...
i love the way the wisp of hair falls across her face..
i love the reflection of my family that i see in her glasses...
i love that i captured this moment...at nine years of age!

she is amazing :)

and now i have realized that i need to get these digital layouts printed and framed or put in a scrapbook!!
i think this will be my mission this week!!

happy wednesday.
capture life! :)
