when did she grow up?

 

when did this little girl who JUST started kindergarten yesterday grow up?

when did she go from this...

 to this...

to me, it feels like overnight. to her, i am sure she feels like she is ready to fly!
she is...ready. i am excited for her. i am also a little sad.
excited b/c i remember how it felt. new places and new opportunities.
sad b/c i know, as a mom now, how it is going to change our family forever.
i won't wake up and see her everyday. she won't be by my side to laugh at the mundane
everyday things that go on.
5 will become 4 and the house will seem empty, like something IS missing--her.
but i also know God has great plans for her to achieve things i can't even imagine!!!
that is exciting! trusting Him in that plan has been part of my trust journey this year.

and while this little birdie is ready to fly, my nest is not quite empty yet.
He has blessed me with a wonderful husband and 2 other girly birds to nurture, love and
equip for this thing called life.

and i am truly one blessed and gifted woman!
