a few more pages | December Daily 2011

i won't bore you with all of my december daily pages
( i only have 7 so far )
i think it's a good idea to plan, but i also like to keep my options open.
why?  i like to make hybrid and digital pages :)
it goes with my scrap flow. i don't over plan or sketch things out.
i go with what comes to me. it's how i work best creatively.
in the post below i have a picture of my cover and a sample page.
in this post, i will share a few more planned pages.
but in the future i will probably only blog finished page days.
if you are on flickr, you can catch my pages there as well.

quick share | December Daily 2011

i'm off to a Thanksgiving party at school.
here's a really quick share of my cover and
one of my foundation pages!!
hope to share more soon :)

edit: in my haste of posting this, i neglected to say that this cover was actually my 3rd attempt
at a cover before i was happy.
now, i am happy.
happy :)

recent finds

i wouldn't call myself a stamper or
a scrapper that uses her stamps a lot, BUT
i've been pulling my stamps out more lately.
ya know those little alpha stamps that were really popular
about 5 or so years ago? those ones.
then while at my local Michael's one day i stumbled upon
the dollar bin with one of the greatest finds in a long time! :)

call it a chevron stamp or zig zag stamp or call it your best friend, but it was only a dollar! holla!!
since finding it, i have mailed this baby out to 5 other scrappy friends! and had many more
inquiries about it. sadly, they are gone now. :(
happily, i have acquired the "hello" stamp above a "joy" stamp for Christmas as well as 2 other
3 other $1 stamps in the past couple of weeks.

and since no light of any natural sorts could be found today, i didn't get to take photos of my Dec daily foundation pages, but did manage to play in PS after watching more pugly pixel tutorials!! :)
yep! that's how i created my own purple gingham pattern you see above!
not bad for a sleepless night and rainy, dreary, foggy, grey kind of day!! :D

i think i know what i'll be doing from now on when sleep (or lack thereof) decides to try to kick my butt! ;)

right now...

sleep isn't my friend.
for whatever reason i wake up at crazy hours and can't get back to sleep.
then, i will drag throughout the day.
today, i woke up at 2 AM. started tossing at 12:30 AM.
went to bed at 10:30PM. so... a stellar 2 hrs of sleep.
the good thing? once i decided to get out of bed (because attempts of falling back
asleep were obviously futile) i decided to tap into my creative juices.
yesterday, i think, i ran across the website Pugly Pixel due to this PS tutorial
i found on Pinterest. so many creative ideas, freebies, tutorials for PS that i was
downright giddy!
so, a random iPhone pic was my first vic
brushes, custom shapes, clipping masks, finding cool fonts, borders, i could go on...

i love learning cool stuff like this! and i am excited to head back to pugly pixel to learn more stuff!
can't promise i will be feeling too rad by the time 2 or 3 PM rolls around, though. =/
until then...i will be working on my December daily. hoping to take some shots of my first few
pages when the sun comes out. if i can see straight by then!!
