this is where i LOSE my mind!

if you've been following me here for very long, you know this past year has been, well...
a doozy for me!! i explained it to my husband like this...
"ya know...it's like a fighter in the ring. he keeps getting hit, trying to make sense of his surroundings, but he can't. he just keeps getting dealt blows, and he keeps on spinning!"
i would like to think that i have found my footing and that i am getting a sense of clarity now.
good thing, because that whole spinning and getting beat up deal was tiresome! ;)
through it all, scrapbooking was where i could LOSE MY MIND...in a good way.
it's where i went to be myself-- even find myself at times, get lost, and not overthink too much.
this hobby is great for me! :) it gave me peace when life was storming around me.
ok...enough of that serious stuff!
i managed to squeeze in a couple layouts over the weekend. i wanted to document a couple of things while the stories were fresh in my mind.

our anniversary!!

i've been with this guy a long time!! weird! ;) but i also realize how extremely BLESSED i am!!
i wouldn't want to go back into the dating world to save my life!!
there is hidden journaling on that shipping tag. i meant to pull it out part way and photograph it, but forgot! ;P

the move...

again more hidden journaling that i failed to photograph. i took one of the file folder pieces from a fotostack openable by Heidi Swapp to create some journaling underneath. i used a portion of a
Elle's Studio Summer Lovin' journaling tag to make a lift tab in order to read the journaling under the photo. i used the remainder of the journaling card to do my journaling underneath the photo.
one card=2 uses!! :)

happy Monday! make it ROCK!!

  3. I'm right there with you. You should see my kitchen table loaded with scrappy stuff because I NEED to do it right now during the craziness. LOVE both of these so much. (but what's new) Thanks for reminding me to document this house before we move! I should sneak by and snap a photo of our first house too - don't know if I have one of the front!
